HA NOI (VNS) — Viet Nam lost to defending champions Brazil 1-8 in their first match of the International Futsal Grand Prix in Brazil yesterday.

The hosts took control of the match from the first minute and scored 4-0 in the first half, however Long Vu narrowed the gap for Viet Nam to 4-1.

Brazil continued showing their level after scoring four more goals in the second half.

Viet Nam will meet Colombia tomorrow.

The tournament, which will last until this Sunday, features six teams, including hosts Brazil, who are in Group A with Viet Nam, and Colombia. Group B has Iran, Guatemala and Costa Rica. — VNS
