THUA THIEN HUE (VNS) – Laos and Hue are to exchange information on conservation work following an understanding signed by The Hue Monuments Conservation Centre and its Laos counterpart yesterday (Apr 22).
The Department of Luang Prabang World Heritage, which manages the UNESCO-listed heritage site in Luang Prabang, visited Hue from April 18-24.
The two sides also decided to exchange working trips and to hold seminars on conservation.
Like Hue, Luang Prabang is a former capital city. The Hue centre and the Luang Prabang department also expect to boost relations with the conservation authority in Siem Riep, Cambodia, to boost regional tourism and conservation co-operation. – VNS
