THUA THIEN-HUE (VNS)— Monuments in Hue have been digitalised in order to make their restoration more historically accurate.
The Hue Monuments Conservation Centre created 3D models of the Mieu Temple and Hien Lam Cac Pavillion, both located inside the Royal Palace.
Phan Thanh Hai, the centre's director, said trial restoration projects on 3D samples would ensure accuracy before the real thing.
The centre is working on 3D reenactions of ceremonies that were performed at the historical sites.
Kings in the Nguyen dynasty (1802-1945) were worshipped at The Mieu. Hien Lam Cac reflects the contributions of the dynasty's kings and outstanding mandarins.
The centre will continue working with IT service provider ANTHI Viet Nam to create 3D representations of other monuments. — VNS
