HA NOI (VNS) — Coach Nguyen Manh Hung has decided to leave the national men's volleyball team, and Thai Thanh Tung who coaches the women's squad has also announced his plans to step down.
Hung is one of the most experienced trainers in Viet Nam, and recently guided the national team to second place at the 28th Southeast Asian Games in Singapore.

Hung said he wanted to devote all of his time to Trang An Ninh Binh, who will take part in the national championships' second stage this year.
Tung is not the top choice to coach the women's team, but stepped in while the Viet Nam Volleyball Federation looks for a foreign expert.
Tung, who won a silver in Singapore, will continue with his players until after the International VTV Volleyball Tournament early next month.
"My resignation is not due to any pressure. We really need a qualified expert who can lift us to the next level," Tung said. — VNS
