HA NOI (VNS) — Vietnamese athlete Nguyen Thi Huyen failed in the qualifying round of the women's 400m hurdles at the 2015 IAAF World Athletics Championships in Beijing, China, yesterday.
The 22-year-old girl only clocked a time of 57.31sec to be ranked 28th out of 36 players, failing to earn a ticket to compete in the semi-final.
In the 28th Southeast Asian Games in Singapore in June, Huyen played better with a time of 56.15sec, breaking the 20-year games record of 56.78 set by Thailand's Srithoa Reawadee in Manila, Philippines. — VNS
