HA NOI (VNS) — Viet Nam 1 came out on top at the Viet Nam International Judo Tournament that ended in HCM City on October 19.
The team bagged six gold, three silver and four bronze medals. With four gold medals, Japan came second and South Korea finished third with three gold, two silver and three bronze medals.
The event attracted 159 martial arts fighters from countries such as Japan, South Korea, Singapore and Mongolia, who competed for 23 sets of medals in both kata and kumite events.
Viet Nam sent four squads that competed for 18 sets of medals in the tournament.
In the event for visually impaired participants, South Korea came out on top with three gold medals and a silver medal. — VNS
