HA NOI (VNS) — Almost 500 stalls by travel agencies from 25 countries and territories will be set up at the second Viet Nam International Travel Mart.
The event will be held in Ha Noi between April 3 and 6. Being held with the theme, Promoting Tourism – New Destinations, New Chances and Responsible Tourism for Sustainable Development, the event will attract around 450 domestic and international travel companies and an estimated 50,000 visitors. Japan will be invited as the guest of honour at the event.
Nguyen Manh Cuong, deputy head of Viet Nam National Administration of Tourism, said that based on the success of the first mart held last year, this year's event has been expanded in scale. More tourism companies are participating and the event will focus on the three channels of domestic tourism for the Vietnamese people, domestic tourism for foreigners and foreign trips for Vietnamese tourists.
A series of tourism promotion products will be introduced at the mart, especially those involving the northern mountain routes and the sea routes.
Cuong said the event aims to attract more tourists from Japan, South Korea and Western Europe with more travel agencies participating from those countries.
Various professional workshops will be organised and wholesale and retail sale of tourism products will be offered to companies and individual visitors.
The mart will be organised at the Viet Nam Exhibition Fair Centre, 148 Giang Vo Street in Ha Noi. — VNS
