HA NOI (VNS) — Viet Nam grabbed one gold, three silver and two bronze medals during the seven-day International Wheelchair and Amputee Sports, which ended last weekend in Sochi, Russia.
Swimmer Le Tien Dat won the only gold medal for the team in the men's 100m breaststroke event.
Vuong Chau and Phan Van Dung came second in the men's discus throw and javelin events, respectively. Earlier, Tran Thi Tu bagged a silver medal in the women's shot-put event.
Ngo Thi Lan Thanh and Vo Van Tung won a bronze medal each in the women's and men's javelin events.
The medal winners are waiting for the final decision to know if they have qualified for next year's Paralympics. — VNS
