HA NOI — French quartet Limousine will be performing at L'Espace on January 12.
Jazz artists Laurent Bardainne (saxophone), Maxime Depierre (guitar), David Aknin (drum, percussion) and Frederic Soulard (keyboard) pledge to produce a unique urban sound combining jazz, contemporary, rock and electro.
The group say their inspiration comes from The Doors, Pink Floyd and Leonard Cohen.
Bardainne won third prize at the Jazz de la Defense contest in 2000 for duo Bardainne-Gleizes.
Together with Poni Hoax, he has released two albums and toured the world with producer Tigersushi.
Delpierre often plays with clarinetist and saxophonist Louis Sclavis. He led troupes Joakim and The Disco and has performed with the band Paris.
Aknin, composer and producer, has led many famous troupes such as Joakim and DPZ. Meanwhile, Soulard is well known for the violin and piano while with his former band Maestro. He joined Limousine in 2009.
Tickets are available at the L'Espace, for VND50,000 and VND100,000. The performance starts at 8pm. — VNS
