Calling all adventure seekers! The annual Madagui Trophy competition takes place this year on March 9-10 in and around Cat Tien National Park, the biggest national park in Viet Nam.

Competitors will have a choice of three races: Adventure (2-4 hours); Extreme (4-6 hours); and Ultra (7-12 hours, night departure). With a 2am start and jungle run, the Ultra event is said to be the toughest in all of Southeast Asia.

Organised for the sixth consecutive year by HCM City-based Viet Adventures, the competition takes place in the dense jungle terrain only 150km from HCM City. These remote jungle areas are isolated from all but the most adventurous travellers.

This year, Viet Adventures will again hold Viet Nam's only adventure race for children aged six through 12. Parents will be permitted to accompany their child but will be asked to refrain from helping them. A large fleet of volunteers will be on hand to provide assistance.
