HCM CITY (VNS) — Captain Phung Ngoc Vinh Quy scored twice to help Khanh Hoa beat Thua Thien-Hue 2-1 in the curtain-raiser of the National Beach Football Championship yesterday.
Quy netted the ball for Khanh Hoa, leading the first half 2-0 before Truong Vinh Phong pulled back a goal for Thua Thien-Hue in the second half.
In the second game of the day, Hyno Da Nang crushed Sai Gon Nhan Tin 4-2 after a 1-0 loss in the first half.
The championship has drawn four teams competing in a two-leg round-robin format for VND30 million (US$1,400) cash-prize.
