HANOI (VNS) — Four Vietnamese boys will be going for a football tour to England, this summer, after showing their advanced skills at a two-day football camp in HCM City.
Nguyen Tien Ba, Nguyen Hoi Thong, and L Minh Nhat, both 12-year-olds, and Huynh Duc Hong, 10, were selected by the coaches of the European giants Chelsea on the weekend.
Their parents will accompany them.
The quartet was selected from about 180 other teenagers across the nation, at an event co-organised by Samsung Viet Nam and Chelsea.
In England, they will have the opportunity to meet eight other players of their age group from different countries at Chelsea. They will also visit the Stamford Bridge Stadium, the youth football training centre and will also play with its trainees. They will also meet the club's renowned footballers, such as Fernando Torres, Eden Hazard, and John Terry.
It is the second instance that such a camp has been organized following its initiation in 2012.— VNS
