HCM CITY (VNS) — Dozens of South Korean and Vietnamese writers and translators participated in a South Korea- Viet Nam Literary Exchange organised on Saturday by the HCM City's Association of Arts and Literature Associations.
Writers Kim Young Ha and Nguyen Ngoc Tu addressed the audience, many of them young writers and university students.
Many participants called for more books to be translated into each other's language to meet the demand of both sides' readers.
Only 20 Vietnamese books and 58 Korean books have been translated in the last 20 years, according to the organisers. — VNS
