Viet Nam's Nguyen Thi Lan has won a bronze medal at the Jujitsu World Championships in Thailand on November 23.
Lan claimed the third position in the women's 70kg category.
The tournament drew 500 competitors from 43 countries and territories in the world.
"The medal will inspire Vietnamese players at future events, especially the Asian Beach Games in Da Nang next year," Do Ngoc Hung, the Viet Nam team leader, said.
Jujitsu, which originated in Japan, has gained popularity in recent years. Although it is not part of the Asian Games, jujitsu has become an official event at some other international tournaments such as the Asian Beach Games. — VNS
