HA NOI (VNS)- Manchester United legend Peter Schmeichel will make a visit to Viet Nam on April 24-25.
Schmeichel, the club ambassador, will be the Manchester United representative to sign a co-operation agreement with the Bank of Investment and Development of Viet Nam in Ha Noi before meeting with football fans in HCM City.
The Danish former goalkeeper said it was his pleasure having a chance to visit Viet Nam and excited to meet with local fans. He believed that the co-operation between two sides would bring great result.
Schmeichel, 49, was a goalkeeper for many different clubs. He played for Manchester United in 1991-99 and was said the most successful goal keeper in the team's history.
Schmeichel was voted the World's Best Goalkeeper in 1992 and 1993. He was then selected one of the best 10 keepers in the 20th century by International Federation of Football History&Statistics in 2000.
During his time at Manchester, Schmeichel seized a huge collection of victories with five Premier League championships, three FA Cup titles and one Champions League trophy.
He is also the most capped player for the Denmark national team, with 129 times between 1987 and 2001.
Apart from an opportunity to talk with Schmeichel, people will also have a chance at a lucky draw with the top prize of a visit to see Manchester United play at Old Trafford.
