HA NOI (VNS) — The latest rankings released by the International Chess Federation (FIDE) show Vietnamese top player Le Quang Liem dropping 22 places to 66th.
The 2013 world blitz chess champion finished 21st at the recent 2014 Millionaire Chess Open and fourth at the Spice Cup 2014 in the US on Monday.
With his performance at the two events, Liem's Elo rating now is 2677, instead of 2706. The Elo rating system is a method for calculating the relative skill levels of players in two-player games. — VNS
