HA NOI - Phan Thi Lieu yesterday won the An Giang Television Cycling Tournament.

Lieu, of Gao Hat Ngoc Troi An Giang, finished the six-stage event in an overall time of 13: 26.26.

Na Ahreum of South Korea's Samyang team and Phetdarin Somrat from Thailand finished second and third.

Nguyen Thi That, also racing for Gao Hat Ngoc Troi An Giang, won the green jersey for the top sprinter, but failed to live up to his billing as the pre-tournament billing, finishing ninth overall.

The last stage yesterday was claimed by Indonesia's Azizah Suyut Tyas, who finished the 75km tour from Rach Gia to Long Xuyen City in a time of 1:51.07.

Pham Thi Thuy Lien of Vinamit-HCM City was second, followed by Wilaiwan Kunlapha of Thailand.

In the team ranking, Thailand leapfrogged Samyang on the final stage to take the prize.

Samyang were just five seconds behind, while Gao Hat Ngoc Troi An came in third.
