Viet Nam has sent six competitors to take part in the Asian Youth and Junior Weightlifting Championships in Yangon, Myanmar.
The event which kicked off yesterday and will run until November 12 will be a qualifier for the second Asian Youth Games in 2014 in Nanjing, China.
Participants from 30 countries and territories are taking part in the event, including powerhouses from China, Kazakhstan, North Korea and Indonesia.
The Vietnamese representatives are Thach Kim Tuan and Nguyen Tran Tuan Anh (men's U56kg), Nguyen Thien Quoc (men's U62kg), Tran Thi My Dung and Pham Hong Dao (women's U53kg) and Ngo Nhuan Nu (men's U63kg).-VNS
