HA NOI (VNS) — Tomorrow, Manzi will host Between Space and Sky – an unmissable experimental concert featuring Edges, a contemporary music collective from Toronto, zither artist Nguyen Thuy Dung and Sound Awakener (Nhung Nguyen), a young face in Ha Noi's contemporary music scene.
Founded in 2011 and consisting of some of the most active and creative musicians in Toronto, Edges is a growing collective of composers, performers, and improvisers who are all heavily involved in making and performing experimental and improvised music.
Graduating from the Viet Nam National Academy of Music in 2012, Dung is considered one of the best Vietnamese long zither musicians.
Sound Awakener is Nhung Nguyen's solo project formed in 2011. Its aim is to experiment with various sonic elements, especially improvised sound.
Ticket: VND100,000/person including one free drink. Money goes toward artists and covers organisational costs.
The concert will start at 8pm, at Manzi Art Space, 14 Phan Huy Ich Street. — VNS
