HA NOI  (VNS) — Marksman Hoang Xuan Vinh lost in the final of the men's 25m centre fire pistol at the sixth CISM Military World Games in South Korea yesterday.

The gold medal went to Dikec Yusuf of Turkey, the silver to Klimov Alexey of Russia, while Chinese Jin Yongde took the bronze medal.

Vinh, 41, broke the world record in the men's 10m air pistol with 202.87 points at the World Cup Fort Benning 2014 in the US.

Today, Viet Nam competes in the women's singles and team's 50m rifle 3x20 event.

Viet Nam are entered in six events: shooting, boxing, swimming, judo, taekwondo and volleyball in this multi-sport tournament organised every four years, one year before the Olympic Games. — VNS
