HA NOI (VNS) — Viet Nam's top badminton player Nguyen Tien Minh has slipped two places to 20th in world rankings after failing in the first round of China Open.
The sport's governing body announced that Minh now has a score of 42,720.
Lee Chong Wei of Malaysia is No 1 with 97,131 points, followed by Chen Long of China on 80,561 points and Jan O Jorgensen of Denmark on 69,623 points.
Another Vietnamese player, Pham Cao Cuong, slipped four places to 174th position.
On the women's side, although Vu Thi Trang did not compete in any international event recently, she retained her world No 51. — VNS
