HA NOI (VNS) — Top Vietnamese player Nguyen Tien Minh has slid three places to 46th in the world badminton rankings, the Badminton World Federation has announced.
This is Minh's lowest world ranking in the past one year.
In the recent past, 32-year-old Minh took part only in several small-scale events to accumulate points to secure a berth in the 2016 Olympics in Brazil. However, his performance was not good.
Minh was defeated in the quarter-final of the 2015 Bahrain International Challenge earlier this month.
Meanwhile, Vietnamese player Vu Thi Trang has jumped two spots to 52nd in the world's women singles rankings. — VNS
