HANOI (VNS)- Vietnamese Nguyen Tien Minh yesterday qualified for the second round of the Victor Korea Open badminton tournament in Seoul.
The world No 10 won after his arch rival, Yun Hu of Hong Kong, retired in the second set when Minh was leading 24-22, 11-4.
It is Minh's third win over Yun, ranked 11 in the world, in seven matches. Yun was the winner in the last three matches.
In the next round, Minh will play Hwan Jong-soo of South Korea.
