HA NOI (VNS) — Vietnamese top badminton player Nguyen Tien Minh will take part in the US$200,000 Yonex Open Chinese Taipei to be held on July 14-19.
The Olympian Minh, world No 35, is not seeded at the tournament.
Chinese Chen Long is No 1 and Jan Jorgensen of Denmark is No 2.
According to the draw, Minh will meet Andre Tedjono of Indonesia in the first round.
Another Vietnamese representative, world No 49 Vu Thi Trang, will also compete in Taipei from the qualifying round. — VNS
