HA NOI (Biz Hub) — Viet Nam's top badminton player, Nguyen Tien Minh, jumped three spots up the world rankings to seventh place, according to the World Badminton Federation's latest list released on Thursday.
Minh's further ascension into the top 10 comes after his recent performance at this year's Korea Open, where he reached the quarter-finals before suffering a narrow loss to tournament-winner, Long Chen from China.
Minh was bungled out of the first round at this year's Malaysia Open on Wednesday, in a 17-21, 16-21 loss to Son Wan Ho of South Korea. — VNS
