HA NOI (VNS) — Model Nguyen Cha Mi has been selected as the first model who will showcase French designer Julien Fournie's designs today at the Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week 2014 in Paris.

Cha Mi had earlier made it to the top four at Vietnam's Next Top Model 2013 contest.

Fournie said that Cha Mi was "an interesting surprise." "She is completely unique and gives fresh inspiration to designers," he added. Fournie appreciated the "perfect measurements" of Cha Mi's body and her movements, which reminded him of a "junior Naomi Campbell."

Fournie had earlier met Cha Mi at the Singapore Fashion Week 2013.

"It's a great chance for me as I am the only Vietnamese model performing at the Paris Fashion Week 2014," said Cha Mi, before departing for Paris, "I will try my best to fulfil the task."

The Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week 2014 is in the framework of the Paris Fashion Week 2014, and is being held between January 19 and 24 at Marcel Dassault Hotel in Champs-Elysees Avenue, Paris.
