KUALA LUMPUR — An international fashion show will take place at the Petronas Towers next Monday.
The J Spring Fashion event will be hosted by the UK-based Vietnamese model and global fashion show organiser Jessica Minh Anh and highlight collections by Paul Costelloe from Britain, Addy van den Krommenacker from the Netherlands, and Susana Bettencourt from Portugal.
J Model Management will additionally provide the Limkokwing University of Creative Technology a slot to showcase their own high end collection, which combines the best of East and West.
Exclusive guests will include ambassadors, brand managers, fashion designers, and reporters who will gather on the 42nd level of the futuristic mega structure.
Each model will walk a total of 5km during the 90min show, choreographed by international movement director K Knight, known for his work with MTV, Matthew Williamson and Beyonce.
"I feel honoured to be a part of such an historic event and bring my collection to Asia. I have been much interested by this inspiring market of late," Costelloe said.
A showstopper is set to include a couture dress made entirely of sugar by Malaysian bakery Just Heavenly.
"We are very excited by such an unconventional design that reflects the artistic yet realistic lifestyle of a new generation," Minh Anh commented.
After the international success of the J Autumn Fashion Show on London's iconic Tower Bridge last October, Minh Anh said, "Many people have asked me if bridges are my thing, but I'll host the show wherever my imagination takes me. You gotta dream big!" — VNS
