British photographer and writer David W. Lloyd (centre) completed Viet Nam's first "Everesting" cycle challenge on December 13. To do this, he cycled up Ba Vi mountain almost nine times until he had achieved a total elevation gain of 8,848m – the height of Mount Everest. In total he has now raised over US$3,500 for Newborns Vietnam. Furthermore, VeloChic bicycle shop has donated a limited edition Peugeot bicycle which is now available to the highest bidder, with 100 per cent of the money going straight to Newborns Vietnam.
