HA NOI (VNS) — Viet Nam's top tennis player, Ly Hoang Nam, secured a ticket to compete at the quarter finals of the Grade A Trofeo Bonfiglio tournament in Milan, Italy, after beating Wu Tung Lin of Chinese Taipei in the third round on May 21.
Nam, world junior No 14, won 2-0 (6-1, 7-6 (7-4) ).
Nam's next rival is seed No 1 Luz Orlando of Brazil, world junior No 2, who is seen as a great challenge for Nam in this round.
The 18-year-old Nam triumphed in both men's singles and doubles of the 25th Sarawak Chief Minister's Cup (I) ITF Junior Tennis Championship (Grade 1) in Malaysia in March. — VNS
