HCM CITY (VNS) — Vietnamese top tennis player Ly Hoang Nam was ousted from the semi-final match of the Egypt F27 Futures Tennis Tournament yesterday.
Nam, seeded 6th, was defeated by second seed Daniel Cox from the UK 3-6, 4-6.
Cox, who reached the world's top 250 for the first time in 2014, has taken more than 10 Men's Futures' titles. He entered the Australian Open qualifiers for the first time in his career last year.
Nam, who won the title of the 2015 Wimbledon boys' doubles event, will continue playing in the F28 Futures which will start today.
Earlier this year, Nam had reached the Men's Futures' quarter-finals at both Thailand and Indonesia tournament. — VNS
