HA NOI (VNS) — Vietnamese player Ly Hoang Nam will face Ribeiro Marcondes of Brazil on May 27 in the first round of the 50th Astrid Bowl Charleroi, Belgian International Junior Championships.

Nam is the only player from Southeast Asia at the Centre de Delassement de Charleroi-Marcinelle.

The clay court tournament, which ends on May 31, will have both singles and doubles events for boys and girls.

It is an important warm-up for Nam in preparation for the French Open junior competition. The Vietnamese champion, who is World No 64, will start with the French Open qualifying round which begins on June 1. — VNS
