HA NOI (VNS)— Young tennis hopeful Ly Hoang Nam yesterday overcame Go Hyun Sik of South Korea to progress to the third round of the Seogwipo Asia Oceania International Junior Tennis Championships in South Korea.

Nam, seeded No 12 at the tournament, came from one set down to beat Go 6-7(4), 6-2, 6-1 in the second round after more than two hours. The 16-year-old player will face Matsumura Ryotaro of Japan in the third round today.

The Vietnamese No 1 tennis player previously beat another Korean, Lee Min Hyun, 6-4, 6-3 in the first round. —VNS
