HA NOI — The national archery team are taking part in a training course in South Korea under the second phase of a support plan signed between Viet Nam and Doosan Vina last November.

Eight archers left for Chang Won in their first overseas training session sponsored by Doosan, a heavy industrial complex, as a part of the six-year long programme that will last through 2019.

The 10-day training exercises will wrap up on May 22.

"This kind of experience is invaluable because it helps us understand the competition and prepares us for the intensity that is present at the top levels of the sport," said archer Nguyen Thi Kim Anh.

During this time they will witness the 48th Korean national men and women archery championships that will take place in the Kim Soo-nyung Archery Centre in Cheong Ju. — VNS
