HA NOI (VNS)— A national ceremonial costume design competition was officially launched in Ha Noi yesterday by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism's Department of Fine Arts, Photography and Exhibitions.
Professional and amateur Vietnamese designers from home and abroad are eligible to enter.
The designers will be required to draw four samples for men and women including shoes and traditional turbans.
The samples should be designed on domestically-produced material to suit Vietnamese style and climate conditions.
Entrees can be drawn by hand or on a computer. Each designer can send unlimited samples to the competition organisers at 38 Cao Ba Quat Street, from October 1 to 5.
The best designs will be submitted to the Government for approval before they are awarded and used.-VNS
