KHANH HOA (VNS) —  The National Handball Championships will commence today in Nha Trang beach in Khanh Hoa Province.

Teams from six cities and provinces will compete in the men's and women's events.

The tournament will be held in a round-robin format with group stages. The top two teams in each group will enter the semi-finals.

Handball is a new sport in Viet Nam, with the national championships being organised for the first time last year.

This year, the sport has been included in the seventh National Sport Games's programme also. — VNS
