HA NOI (VNS) — Nine national records were broken in the third day of competition at the National Junior Age-Groups Swimming Championships in Ha Noi yesterday.
Nguyen Hoang Kim Son of HCM City set a new record in the 200m butterfly in the boy's U13s with a time of 2:19.61, beating the old record of 2:21.62.
His teammate Tran Ngoc Thi also set a new record in the 200m butterfly in the girl's U13s after clocking a time of 2:29.62, compared to the old record of 2:31.79.
Nguyen Minh Hien set his third record in the 100m freestyle with a time of 58.21secs, beating the old record of 58.35secs.
HCM City retained first place in the medals tally with 47 golds. National Defence Sport Centre 5 are in second with eight golds. Quang Ninh are in third with six golds.
