HA NOI (VNS) — Hordes of fans flocked to the Quan Ngua Sports Palace in Ha Noi on Sunday to witness the opening of the National Sport Games' basketball event.

In the women's opening games, HCM City beat Can Tho, 63-40, and Soc Trang bested Quang Ninh, 55-39.

In the men's opening games, Binh Thuan defeated the Military team, 81-75, and HCM City won over Soc Trang, 80-70.

Last night, the hosts' men's team will meet Binh Thuan. The event, which will last until Friday, has attracted the participation of seven teams across the country. — VNS
