HA NOI (VNS)-- The Vietnamese men's football team will begin their training period at the youth football training centre in Ha Noi to prepare for the 2014 Asian Cup Qualifiers.
Under interim coach Nguyen Van Sy, the squad will practise for ten days at the centre before flying to Qatar for a friendly against the hosts.
The team will face the Uzbeks in their third match of Group E in the Asian Cup qualifiers on October 15 and the return leg one month later at My Dinh National Stadium in Ha Noi.
Then the country will travel to the United Arab Emirates to face the home team on November 11 and meet Hong Kong at home on March 5. Both are second-leg games.
