HAI PHONG (VNS)— Hundreds of artists from 17 cheo (traditional opera) troupes throughout the country have flocked to the northern coastal city of Hai Phong for the National Professional Traditional Opera Festival.
As many as 24 shows are scheduled to be performed at the event, which is organised every three years to help traditional opera artists exchange performing skills as well as their passion for the art.
The festival will wrap up on November 2, with the grand finale announcing the winners of gold, silver and bronze medals for individuals performances and shows.—VNS
