AN GIANG (VNS) — The Return to the Countryside Cycling Tournament, An Giang Plant Protection Cup, is scheduled to begin on Sunday.

About 100 cyclists from 20 teams will compete over 10 stages, covering 840km, through Cuu Long (Mekong) Delta cities and provinces, including Kien Giang, Ca Mau, Bac Lieu and Soc Trang, besides Dong Thap.

The eight-day event has a total cash prize of VND450 million (US$21,000), with the overall yellow jersey winner receiving VND20 million ($950).

The tournament, which is being jointly hosted by the Viet Nam Cycling and Motor Sport Federation and An Giang Plant Protection Company, will end on May 18. — VNS
