HCM CITY  (VNS) — The Army Publishing House, in co-operation with Thai Ha Book Company, has released the first book of a series on the life and career of Vietnamese generals to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the country's Liberation Day (April 40) and 70th anniversary of National Day, September 2.

The collection is titled Tuong Linh Viet Nam The Ky XX Qua Loi Ke Cua Nguoi Than (Stories of Generals of the Vietnamese People's Army in the 20th century).

It features articles written by the relatives of 15 military giants, including Nguyen Chi Thanh, Van Tien Dung and Le Duc Anh, whose military careers are closely intertwined with the victories of the Viet Nam People's Army during the French and American wars.

The 362-page book includes photographs never before published. — VNS
