HCM CITY (VNS) — Female director Do Bach Duong's documentary film
Ho Chi Minh – Bai Ca Tu Do (President Ho Chi Minh – Song of Freedom) will be broadcast on Viet Nam Television next week to celebrate the 125th anniversary of the President's birthday.
The film highlights the ideas of the President on national liberation, freedom and equalitarianism.
It uses songs by Vietnamese and foreign composers such as Pham Tuyen, Ewan MacColl, Peter Seeger and Victore Hara.
The director Duong and her staff travelled to the UK, France, Algeria, Chile and Tunisia to meet and interview the musicians and their families, who have a deep respect for the President.
The 50-minute film will air on VTV1 at 8.10pm on May 19. — VNS
