HCM CITY — Contestants on a reality television game show will compete for the title The Leader to be aired on HCM City Television (HTV) today.
The show, Toi La Nguoi Dan Dau (I Am the Pacesetter), produced by HTV and Dong Tay Promotion, will see competition among 16 contestants, including male and female, chosen from 400 young people.
Truong Van Minh, manager of HTV's Programme Department, said the show would not only entertain the audiences but also educate youth.
The show will divide contestants into two teams who will compete in challenges, consisting of endurance, strength, agility, problem solving, teamwork and dexterity.
There are three types of challenges in each episode, including reward challenge, immunity challenge, and the big challenge to identity the losing team.
The show will take place on the islands of Phu Quoc Island District in Kien Giang Province.
Apart from challenges, contestants will take part in charity and social activities with the island residents.
During the first seven episodes, the losing team will vote off weak contestants until only four final contestants remain.
After the eighth episode, the eliminated contestant and the audiences will vote for the winner who will be revealed in the last episode.
The winner will receive VND100 million in cash prizes.
All episodes will be broadcast on HTV7 at 8:30 pm every Saturday, while the last episode will air live on June 23.
