NGHE AN (VNS) — Various cultural activities are being organised between May 12 and 19 to commemorate President Ho Chi Minh's 125th birth anniversary (May 19, 1890) in Nghe An Province.
A portrait of the President has been made from thousands of pink and white lotus flowers. The "painting" that measures 4mx6m has a metal frame and is placed on a 1m-high platform. The painting is currently displayed at Dai Tue Pagoda in Nam Dan District.
A number of Vietnamese films will be screened in the province, and the local audience will have the opportunity to interact with actors and film crews.
There will also be exhibitions showcasing the examples of Ho Chi Minh's moral principles, the sentiments of people all over the world toward the President, as well as posters featuring the President.
There will also be some art shows and hundreds of local artists and art troupes from Laos and Thailand are expected to participate. — VNS
