HA NOI (VNS)– A cultural event for overseas Vietnamese returning for Tet will be held in Ha Noi on February 3, the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese Affairs told press this morning.
Entitled "Homeland Spring", the annual ceremony will be held under the Ly Thai To monument on the east side of Hoan Kiem lake and attended by State leaders and Vietnamese artists from around the world.
Foreign Affairs Deputy Minister Nguyen Thanh Son, who is also chairman of the committee, said the event served as a bridge for overseas Vietnamese to the country.
The programme will also celebrate UNESCO's recognition of the Hung Kings' worship as a World Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. -- VNS
