HCM CITY (VNS) — More than one million visitors are expected to attend the Spring Flower Fair on February 3 at the Crescent Quarter in District 7's Phu My Hung area, the event organiser Phu My Hung Corporation has said.

Covering seven hectares, this year's fair, with the theme of "Flowers of the Countryside", will include sections titled Duong Xuan (Spring Roads), Ben Xuan (Spring Wharf), Vuon Xuan (Spring Garden) and Gop Xuan (Spring Contributions). Food areas, Tet specialties and ornaments will also be offered.

At the Spring Contributions section, visitors can donate flowers, bonsai, or other plants.

Thirty wooden boats carrying beautiful flowers will be part of the Spring Wharf section, with depictions of fishermen and traders doing business.

Fair participants will also be able to release flower garlands and coloured lanterns into the river to pray for luck. — VNS
