HA NOI (VNS) — An exhibition featuring the 1945 August Revolution is being held in Ha Noi to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Revolution (August 19) and National Day (September 2).
The exhibition is at the Viet Nam Military History Museum Dau An Mua Thu Lich Su (Hallmarks of the Historic Autumn).
More than 300 pictures, documents and objects are on display, portraying the General Uprising in August 1945 which highlighted the leading role of the Viet Nam Communist Party and President Ho Chi Minh.
Many exhibits are on show for the first time, including President Ho's letter to the people before the General Uprising on August 19, 1945, a military trumpet used for the flag-raising ceremony in Ba Dinh Square on September 2.
The exhibition will run until September 20 at 28A, Dien Bien Phu Street, Ba Dinh District, Ha Noi. — VNS
