HCM CITY (VNS)— Dan Truong is all set for his 10th live concert tonight.

At the Trong Dong Entertainment Club in HCM City, Truong, who began his career by singing pop and dance music but has turned recently to folk, said he would sing "18 songs in different styles – pop, dance, blues, and folk".

They include several of the songs that made him famous.

Truong believes that Vietnamese performers are in need of new styles, and that he is well prepared in that regard.

"My crew and I worked hard a whole year to provide my fans something new," the 37-year-old has said in interviews to the media.

He has invited several young singers like Noo Phuoc Thinh, Miu Le, and Van Mai Huong, and established stars like Cam Ly and Thanh Thao to perform along with him.

His group of 20 professional dancers will also perform.

Talking about the show, his manager, Le Hoang Tuan, said: "We are confident".

Some 3,000 people are expected to attend.-VNS
