QUANG NGAI - Experts from Quang Ngai Museum have discovered several prehistoric artefacts dating back 4,000 years in the Tang River valley in Tay Tra District, according to Deputy Director Doan Ngoc Khoi.

Relics include a stone axe, a grater and some burial jars, found alongside 25 tombs made from terracotta and soil, typical of the Sa Huynh culture, which dates back 2,000 years.

The discovery was the result of a 2-month-long excavation that began on April 10 in Tra Tho Commune. Previously, experts discovered several other ancient relics in the region during 2011. VNS
