HA NOI — Ho Chi Minh's Prison Diary has been translated into Bengali and published by the Jatio Sahitto Prokashoni Publishing House on the occasion of the 122th birthday of the late President.

The poetry colletion was translated by Ovinu Bibria Islam, a university professor in the city of Jessore in Bangladesh.

He respects and admires Ho Chi Minh despite never having visited Viet Nam and decided to translate the volume with a view to introducing the late President to young Bangladeshis.

A biography by Moshin Shastrapani entitled Life and Career of President Ho Chi Minh, written in 1972, went into its fifth reprinting in Bangladesh in February.-VNS
